In the day 3 of Dana White’s video blog Matt Hughes convinced White to up the bonus to $80, 000. Who knew that he would be on the receiving end of the knockout the won someone else the bonus.

B.J. Penn, Phil Davis, George Sotiropoulos and Joe Lauzon each benefited from Hughes talking White to $80,000.

Penn earned “Knockout of the Night” bonus when he stunned the crowd and his opponent with a rapid –fire 21-second finish. During an early flurry Penn dropped Hughes with a HUGE right hand and wasted very little time jumping on top of Hughes to finish him off.

Davis earned his “Submission of the Night” for executing a kimura variation that left Joe Rogan speechless. Davis dominated Tim Boetsch on the ground and trapped his opponent’s arm behind Boetsch and cranked the hold until Boetsch Tapout.

In the opening fight of the PPV card Sotiropoulos took the fight straight to Joe Lauzon to earn both fighters the “Fight of the Night” bonus. Lauzon kept pace with Sotiropoulos early on, but Lauzon gassed around the 3 minute of the first round. Lauzon lasted the to the end of the first round, but in the second Sotiropoulos won the ground war and finished Lauzon with a kimura.
